We are all creatures of habit and somewhat resistant to change but I'm happy that both Jeff and I are willing to try new things. I told him about the suggestion to not use bar soap in the shower to prevent soap scum building up and he was willing to try what I found in a 3 pack at Costco. It's Oil of Olay's Soothing Cucumber Cleansing Body Wash. It's a cucumber scented body wash infused with avocado oil. He was also so impressed with the job that the fabric dryer sheets did on the glass shower doors. Here's a photo of the downstairs shower after Jeff worked his magic.

Happy June!
June has always been my favorite month of the year because it's the beginning of summer vacation. When I was a teenager, I spent almost every day at the beach and summer seemed to go on forever. Now it seems to be over in the blink of an eye and I'm always trying to think of ways to make it last longer. Ryan is on vacation now so we will have both boys today. We usually do a Friday field trip but it's too hot for the park or a hike so we'll probably go to the mall for a few things I need to pick up. I need my summer makeup. I always buy a summer color (sand) and a winter color (nude) of Laura Mercier oil free tinted moisturizer. It's like 3 products in one: It's a moisturizer, a light make up and has a SPF of 20.

Happy June to you too! The mall is a perfect place to hang out on hot summer days. You've convinced me to try the dryer sheets on my shower. Have a great w/e. Hugz!
ReplyDeleteHappy June Darylynn!!
ReplyDeleteI love June too since it isn't too hot yet and it cools down at night!! You shower looks like new. Good job Jeff. I use shower gel which does not seem to soap scum in my shower/bath. I will have to try the dryer sheets when I do my deep cleaning for sure. Have a fun day with the kids. And have a wonderful weekend. Hugs, Dru
P.S. Paul is getting his gall bladder out next Thursday 20 minute operation now. Mine when I was in my 30s was a 6 week off work and 1 week in the Hospital ordeal. Paul says I hope that 20 minutes doesn't turn into another House episode like when he was in the Hospital for Viral Meningitis ;) He made me laugh and it reminded me of our conversation at the time :)
Happy June!
ReplyDeleteI am less keen on this month because it marks the definite start of summer! ha ha!
I finally got some bunting up for the jubilee, and some red, white & blue lights that I bought today.

Happy June.
ReplyDeleteI spent my entire Senior year in high school on the beach and yes, summers lasted forever back then and now they speed by like crazy. Way too fast.
We need an Endless Summer!
I love your shower. Its just beautiful.
I will have to try the dryer sheet trick. It is hard for me to clean the shower now. I have a chair in the shower now since standing just plain hurts.
I hope you have a great weekend.
Hugs
