Last Day of School

Today is Ryan's last day of school.  The school picnic yesterday was fun.  Ryan enjoyed the bounce house but Jacob thought it was "too scary!"  They did have fun playing with a big parachute.  We used to do that when I was teaching.  They had lots of tables set up with activities.  Ryan always enjoys playing with the giant bubble blowers.  You can see the table full of shaving cream in the background.

Jacob discovered his own activity.  He went around the park collecting sticks.  Boys will be boys!

I'm not sure yet when Ryan starts a summer session of school but I think it will only be two days a week.  Our days of just having Jacob here until almost 2:00 are over so there will be a lot more work for us keeping them both occupied.  We'll have to do a lot of beach, park, zoo, etc... trips.

  1. oh yes, you are going to be BUSY!

    I've got to keep an eye on the time, it's the Jubilee street party this afternoon (just a summer fair with lots of bunting!), all the kids are so excited! They looked fab walking in the playground decked out in Union Jacks and a sea of red, white, and blue!

    No, we don't have Chuck E Cheese here, and in fact one thing that I think we have a real need for are restuarants aimed at children. Even McDonald's have stopped doing kids parties at every branch, so there is a genuine gap in the market. I am amazed that no big company has recognised it, and filled that gap. It's been pretty stressful just trying to set something up in the first place, so next year I will start at the end of April, so I don't end up a frazzled wreck! Stupid that something that's meant to be fun, ends up being nothing but a headache.

    ooh, tick tock, got to watch that clock!

    xx

  7. Hi Darylynn;

    The bubble maker looks like fun and both boys look like they are having a great time. Ryan has lost the "baby look" for sure, and is growing into a handsome young man. Jacob is still adorable especially with his golden curls. Have a great day ahead my friend. Hugs
