Superheroes

Ryan is obsessed with The Avengers and Iron Man in particular.  I have the Iron Man DVD and he watches it over and over and runs in circles around the family room sofa.  When we were at Costco the other day, we saw a Spiderman tent, sleeping bag and pillow set for only $23.00.  I thought it was so inexpensive and Ryan was really excited about it but I asked him, "What happens if next week they have an Iron Man tent?  Will you want that because I'm not buying another one if you get this."  He assured me he really needed this Spiderman tent so I put it in my Costco basket.  We set it up in the family room and here he is playing inside.

Remember my annual flower bed where I planted the Gerbera Daisies and Marigolds.  It is taking off like crazy, especially the Marigold border in front.  On hot days like we've been having, I have to water twice a day.  The Marigolds seem to hold up well in the heat but the Gerbera Daisies wilt.

  1. Your flowers look great! Very pretty....

Lol about Ryan and "needing" the tent - so very cute. Shawn has a tent that we got him for Christmas a couple of years ago and it's the dragon (you enter through the mouth). He loves to play in there and of course mommy has to lay in it as well.

    Have a great day!

  2. Hi Darylynn,
I love the tent. Kids sure love tents don't they? We use to make one up outside with sheets hanging over a clothesline that is dating me lol Your flowers look beautiful. Paul bought me a beautiful planter with flowers for the front door and those flowers I have to water twice a day also them seem to wilt too. Have a great Wednesday. Hugs, Dru

  3. One of my grandsons loves Spiderman too! It makes it so easy to shop for them. I love it!
Your flowers look great! I knew you had a green thumb. The hot weather is really hard on flowers down here. Hope mine last thru the summer. No more Survivor BOO HOO! I'm so disappointed that Katherine didn't win on DWTS last night. Happy hump day!

  4. Flowers look really nice! I saw a little wagon to plant flowers in that I think I will go buy. I will let you know what happens... since you are one of my "flower" buddies.

Unfortunately the boys are pass this stage. They like some things still with characters on them but they are beginning to worry about be too much of a "baby". Can you believe that? I think the whole tent etc is cute. I don't worry about looking like a baby... maybe I will get me one. HUGS

  7. I'm smiling right now, thinking about Sadie's Mulberry Manor & seeing the tent here ... children love to have their special place, a little getaway, to go with a book, a doll or anything else. I wish we had a garden to have a bigger tent for my boys. Alas, no garden. :(
    He'll loooove his tent, you're a great nana !

  10. Hi Darylynn, Eddie set up 3 tents and he and Audrina had fun playing in them. I think Eddie would love the Spiderman once since he has the smaller Cars one. But he has used sheets before and that is fun too. Maybe you can set up a tent in the backyard and they can have a picnic. We don't have grass in the backyard but we do have the playhouse that they love. Have a nice Memorial weekend!Hugs

  13. Your little garden area is so beautiful. I have not seen the Avengers but I see the toys all over the place. I have to get some b-day gifts soon for my step grandson not sure what I will get him except he wants a microphone and Kirsten does not want him to have one. I will probably get it now. LOL! have a great weekend. Good price on the tent and sleeping bag that would also be great for Brandon my step grandson I am going to try to find that he would love it, he is a really good boy. 16. Ryan looks so adorable in his new tent. I love how he assured you he *needed* that tent! lol. Have you gone to watch The Avengers in the theater yet? We saw it in 3D and we thought it was beyond amazing. The 3D in it is mind boggling. I also love the Ironman movies. Robert Downey Jr. looks fantastic; I'm so very glad he got his life straightened out; ever since, I've been rooting for him! Have a super weekend and week ahead, sweet lady. ((hugs)) xx
