You Can Never be too Rich
or too thin the saying goes... How about too tan? HERE's an unbelievable story about a mom who supposedly took her 5 year old daughter in a tanning booth where she was burned. Whether or not that happened, I don't know but you HAVE to see this mom in the video! Her color is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen! She looks like she's right out of a comedy skit on Saturday Night Live or the crazy lady in Something About Mary! You have to watch a short word from a sponsor but the wait is worth it. If you stick around and watch the next video, it's about a mom who lets her 4 year old wear makeup. What is wrong with these mothers? When we were at the park the other day, I saw a baby, probably under 1 year old, with a mohawk. I've even read about a mother who had her child tattooed. On the other hand, the third video on this Good Morning America page has a great dad who sings Bohemian Rhapsody with his kids on the way to school every morning. I sent that link to Justin and he said, "If I have kids, that's how I'm doing it!"

It's crazy! Where do the get such ideas and then think it's ok. Glad Justin has the right idea!
ReplyDeleteWhat did you think of the look on Kat's face when they voted her off last night? Seriously blindsided, huh?
Hi Darylynn,
ReplyDeleteThere are tanning addicts and she is one of them that is for sure. Funny how she probably doesn't see herself as being that tan like women that don't see themselves as being too skinny. Mental illness in al forms huh? Counry full of nuts I say all the time lol Hope you have a wonderful Thursday.
Hugs, Dru
Can't watch the video right now at work, but will when I get home. Kari has been tanning but not like this. It is to help her feel better... Vitamin D and all. HUGS
ReplyDeleteHi Darylynn,
ReplyDeleteI'd love to watch that video but it isn't available to watch in my area lol. That's what it told me ;o). My goodness, though, it's really shocking at what people will do. No sense at all, to say the least! Just read your 'meat glue' post, too... oh yucky! That's what I told Roger when we stopped eating hamburger, because of that hideous pink slime; I said I wondered what else they're sticking into our food?
Anymore we really need to just take responsibility of our own eating habits and not rely on 'them'. They're not out for our best interests (food manufactures, stores, even some health agencies). It's all about the dollar.
I have been reading up on Green Powder. It looks to be extremely healthy and beneficial for us. I bought some the other day. It's not cheap, but if it does half the things people claim, then I say it's totally worth it. I mix a teaspoon into a glass of water for each of us. It tastes like grass, it's kind of odd, but not unpleasant. I've also been mixing it with Pomegranate flavored Acai Berry juice (we buy that at Costco).
have a great weekend ahead! ((hugs))
I can't watch the video, which is probably just as well, but I did see a picture of her. What a complete idiot.
ReplyDeleteHow dare people do these things to children? If you want to get ridiculously tanned, or tattooed or pierced, that's your business and each to their own. But it's so not fair to inflict that on children just becuase that's what you think looks good. It makes me fume. I won't even have The Girl's ears pierced, it's not that I'm against it (mine are pierced), it's just that I want her to tell me when SHE wants to have them done. It's not my choice! And apart from looking totally stupid (that woman needs a mirror, or glasses), if she DID take her child to a tanning place - has she not heard of skin cancer?! What is wrong with people? argh.
Oh dear God, you've really got me all wound up now!
ARRGGHHH!!!
was able to watch it on MSNBC.com
ReplyDeletehere's the link.

don't get me started!!!!!!

Overboard! I imagine it's something like an eating disorder where people do not see their body as others do. How else could she tan herself to that degree? She looks like old shoe leather and far older than her years.
ReplyDeleteI hope she is telling the truth that the child did not tan there.
Hugs
That is just crazy! She looks horrible for going tanning that much (we have a friend who is like that but she's orange like am oompa-loompa. thank goodness she stopped going so much!). I seriously hope that she didn't take her daughter in there. It drives me crazy when I hear of these parents doing this stuff to their children. I couldn't even begin to imagine doing that to my own child!
