Picnic
It's the end of the school year for Ryan so today is his school picnic. Jeff and I will be going and taking Jacob along. It's at a park and there will be the dreaded germy bounce house, popcorn and snow cone machines. Everyone brings a picnic lunch and a finger food to share. The weather forecast calls for 84 degree weather. I think there's one more day of school- Thursday- but then Ryan will be going to a summer school program and I'm not sure when that begins. Hopefully, soon. I'll find out today. Watching Jacob alone is so much easier so when Ryan is here at the same time. Jeff and I try and get out and do some activities so they aren't fighting over toys and things. They are looking forward to going to the beach and the neighborhood water park. We'd also like to see Ryan get swimming lessons this summer. Jeff said he'd take him. Sarah, Justin's girlfriend, lives in Irvine and there's a big manmade lake and water park complex so we plan to take them there for a visit, too. Justin and Sarah are going to take sailing lessons so they can rent a sailboat to use on the lake. We have a nearby manmade lake, too. Here's a photo of Westlake near us.

lots going on to keep you busy then!
ReplyDeleteGirly girl is on half term next week, but there is still several weeks left before end of term and summer hols.
Got a busy week coming up. Jubilee, bd party, meals out, and girl at home!
Enjoy the day, and if I don't get here beforehand (school jubilee party tomorrow, then Friday is a day off for teachers to have some training day), have a great weekend x
Sounds like you guys are going to have quite a busy summer! Shawn is going to be starting nursery school in the fall and I can't wait! While we have lots of little kids in our family, they don't get together quite often (and we don't have many friends with children his age) so it will be nice for him to have kids to play with.
ReplyDeleteThat lake looks gorgeous! Have a terrific day!
Hi Darylynn,
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the picnic and be careful of all those germs yikes!! I am sure Ryan and Jacob will have a ball. You sound like you will be having a busy Summer with the boys. That is nice Ryan will be in a Summer school. Natasha and Justin went to something here in Burbank called Summer Daze and loved it. Chris and I would get in line overnight to get them enrolled in it many years ago. Hugs, Dru
I hope you enjoyed the picnic, without germs, hopefully!!!!
ReplyDeleteWestlake is lovely. I'd like to jump in!!!!
Have a great day!!!!!

Hope you and Ryan enjoyed the picnic, and Jacob and Jeff too. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Ryan will love swimming! :D
Days here "should" be long, but they are gray and gloomy most of the time. :/ For the past 48 hours you could not say what time of the day it was, it was just plain gray. Sob!
Another school year ends . . . another summer begins. One at a time is always easier. Glad that Ryan has other stuff to do. Love your lake. Sailing lessons are a great idea. Hope you had fun at the picnic. Hugz!
ReplyDeleteWestlake makes me think of Shirley Temple who went to the private girls school there. I know, strange thing to remember, but as a kid I loved her and her movies so much.
