Jeff takes the dogs out on daily outings. They either go to the dog park or on a hike but if he takes them to our neighborhood park they both run like crazy and get far more exercise than they do at the dog park. I told Jeff to take my camera and get a video of them running like maniacs at the park. Here's a typical outing.
Later that morning I took Jacob to the same park to play and we were surprised to find a huge herd of Boer goats that were brought in to graze on the hillside as a fire prevention measure. Jacob had fun seeing all the goats and I was surprised to hear them say "Baaa!" I thought that was what sheep said! Guess goats say the same thing. Here's a photo of our neighborhood goats
those doggies certainly like to run!

Oh how I wish we had a doggy park for our puppies. How how fun to watch them run. I'm impressed at how well they come when called by Jeff. Good puppies!
ReplyDeleteWow! the goats are doing a great job of clearing that hill. Were they as tame as they look?
See you on sunday at Survivors. Hugz!
Hi Darylynn,
ReplyDeleteLOL Run like the wind is right! I have been around goats before one us to chase me at my friends house but I never heard them say baaa!! Odd huh?? Hope you have a great day.
Hugs, Dru
How fun! :) Have a great day! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that they went Baaaaa either! We see goats hired to eat grass down around here. HUGS
ReplyDeleteGoats! What a great idea for keeping brush down. Goats and sheep pull the grass out by the roots. It's why cattlemen hated sheep ranchers but it keeps grass and weeds in check for sure.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun seeing the puppies run and the park is really lovely.
Happy Thursday.
Hugs
Happy Friday Darylynn!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend!
Hugs, Dru
Hi Darylynn;
ReplyDeleteGreat video! Nice to hear Jeff's voice too. Wish I could run a quarter as fast as Cooper... LOL!!
That's a first for me too, I don't remember ever hearing a goat baaa.. Have a great weekend my friend. Hugs
