May the Fourth be with You

It's that day of the year again where I can use Sadie's Princess Leia and R2D2 and say, "May the Fourth be with you!"  I miss not having handy access to all my mood girls now that I'm using blogger.  I have to upload them individually like you would a photo so while I'm at it, I'll also wish you a  Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Jessica and Pat have a wedding to attend on Saturday in Malibu so we will have the boys spend the night here.  We will have to have a special Cinco de Mayo dinner.  Ryan is a really good eater now but Jacob has a very limited diet.  He eats bananas, toast, rice cereal, yogurt, string cheese and pizza and that's about it.  Hopefully he will become more adventurous in food as he gets older.  We are looking into some Mommy (Nani) and Me programs for him so he can have some social interactions with someone other than Ryan who tends to boss him around and take things away from him... typical older brother stuff.  Have a great weekend!

  1. ooh, almost forgot about Cinco de Mayo, thanks for the reminder, I shall do something special for it now.

The boys in Girly Girls class are full of today being 'star wars day', I pity their poor teacher today!

I've found the best way of getting kids to try something new, is just to let them see you eat it. My little rotter has finally started to eat salad. She woudln't touch it for a long time, but then she started pinching it from my plate, and now I can give her a bowl of salad and she'll eat the lot. So proud! I'm certain it's because I didn't make a fuss and let her come round to trying it when she was ready.

Time for me to get on. Let myself get totally distracted watching some cooking on youtube!

    enjoy your wekend

  2. Hi Darylynn,
Happy Cinco de Mayo I will be celebrating at work of course. Paul and Justin both really picky eaters and still are :((( Drives me crazy sometimes we are limited to restaurants because they hate trying anything new or diferent. Hope you have a fun weekend and a fun sleepover with the kids! Hugs, Dru

  3. Hi Darylynn,
May the fourth be with you also!
    Happy Cinco de Mayo.

You can upload your icons to blogger. Just put them on a page you keep in draft. Date it for publication sometime way in the future and it will stay on top of the other posts.
Label each icon/emoticon and then write out the url.
Then you can just copy and paste them to your posts.
An even easier way is to keep the url's of your moods etc on a page from notepad or wordpad and keep that on your desktop.
Again, you can just copy and paste the url into blogger.
If you keep them on the desktop you can open that alongside Blogger.
Hope that is a help for you.
    Have a great weekend.
    Hugs

  5. Happy Friday and happy May, Darylynn! :)
I would not say that Jacob has a very limited diet, LOL! He sounds quite adventurous to me compared to most kids of the same age. One of my cousins refused to eat till he was 6 yrs old! He would only drink milk. The daughter of one of my friends only eats boiled carrots and zucchini and only drink milk. That's it. :/ And also older kids are not so easy sometimes. The son of my friend R is 11 and only eats pasta with fresh tomato sauce and a dash of parmigiano. For lunch and dinner, 7 days a week. Argh! :(
Have a fun weekend and a fun sleepover with the kids! :D
