Plateau

I think Hunter has hit a plateau in his weight loss plan.  I can't find my post where I weighed him last but I think he weighed 17.4 lbs and that's exactly what he weighed yesterday.  I'll have to write this down on my calendar in the cat room so I don't forget.  It's a calendar from the Humane Society and the dog for the month of June looks exactly like Kali.  I know to some people, all golden retrievers look alike but if you've had as many goldens as we've had, you notice subtle differences and this one is a dead ringer for Kali.  Here's a photo of the June look-alike dog.

Now I'm getting sentimental thinking about Kali and Dylan.  There were both amazing dogs.  Dylan was so noble and kind...like a knight in shining armor and Kali was the clown, the court jester.  And then there's Cooper.  There are people at the dog park that call him Prince Cooper because of the way he prances around with his tail held high.  There's even a dog who will always bow down to Cooper as he approaches and the owner tells us that her dog thinks Cooper is royalty.  We love him every bit as much as we loved Dylan and Kali and I never thought that would be possible!
