I have watched every episode of Survivor since it first premiered in 1997! For me, it's "must see TV!" It makes Wednesdays a day I look forward to all week! This season, the 26th, Survivor is fans vs favorites where ultimate fans take on favorites from past seasons. Although I'm a fan, I could never be on Survivor. Could you? I could not stand being outdoors in those rainy, cold, bug-biting elements for 40 days! No way! Not even for a million dollars. I would do okay with the lack of food but not having nice bathroom facilities would be a game-ender for me! But I do enjoy watching the social dynamics of the show. I'm a people-watcher so I find it interesting. This season takes place in Caramoan which is an island area of the Philippines. I'm looking forward to everything but Phillip in his pink underwear!
I'm writing this as I watch TV Tuesday night looking at the cabin burning that has the murder suspect, a former LAPD policeman, inside that you've probably heard about on the news. He has really terrorized the Southern California area. The area where he was apparently hiding out was in a cabin near a ski area- Bear Mountain- that we've been to many times. I hope this brings this all to an end. I wasn't even sure if we'd get to see the State of the Union address but they are beginning it after mentioning that they will break in with any news what's going on here in SoCal.
Caught up with Downton Abbey last night since we missed it Sunday night because of the Grammys. It was a 2 hour episode that we enjoyed quite a lot but was so surprised when they said next week was the season finale! What?!? It just began! What kind of season is that? Not happy!
I thought of you when I read about the suspect on run, wondered if it would affect you.
ReplyDeleteAh yes, you asked me a while back if I watched Downton. Yes, I do. I will not spoil a thing for you, but I was quite disappointed in the Christmas special last year. My lips are sealed (unless you want me to spill the beans!), in case you haven't yet seen it. Just have a few hankies to hand when you do.
xx
Happy Wednesday Darylynn,
ReplyDeleteI am going to the Movie Interruption of Valentine's Day tonight BUT as soon as I get home I will watch Survivor! I am off tomorrow so I don't care how late!! I too have watched every year and every episode!! Crazy stuff with the LL Cool J look alike in Big Bear. I even read his manifesto it is a shame he had to resort to killing innocent people to get his point across :( My heart goes out to all their families. Have a great Wednesday. Hugs, Dru
Hi Darylynn;
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen the news. The past two days I've been without my cable TV & laptop. Got my laptop up and running finally this morning. Lost it due to the cable's technical problems. ;-} Glad it wasn't me and a good thing I had the past two days posts already online. I love Blogger's post ahead feature, don't you.
I loved Downton Abby's last show and I too am surprised next week is the finale. Have a great day ahead my friend. Hugs
First of all, I have spent many times at Big Bear. My grandparents would take their trailer there and we would stay for a week in the summer. I enjoyed going up the ski lift (which ran even in the summer) and I rode horses somewhere around there too. I felt this guy was making the So Cali area nervous... and I thought he would go back to LA after burning his car. I haven't checked today but I would guess this will not end well for him (death).
ReplyDeleteI don't watch Survivor but I have just started watching Downton Abbey on Netflix. I am on the first episodes...like the 4th one where the Turkish man dies. I guess I have a ways to go. HUGS
Hi Darylynn, I guess I missed the beginning of Survivor. Not much time for tv. Finally updated my blog. I will go home next week and have tons to keep me busy. My dad's service will be a few blocks from where we met for lunch. Hope we can meet sometime this year.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day Darylynn,
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful day!
Hugs, Dru
Happy Valentines Day Darylynn.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy it all!
Hugs
Happy Valentine's Day Darylynn, hope you have a wonderful romantic day! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy V Day! I almost missed Survivor last night. Came across it by chance. Liked the 90 minute show. Wonder if all the episodes will be that long. Downton finale? what? I missed that announcement. In a word . . . bummer!!
ReplyDeleteI could never be a survivor on that show, I watched the very first episode, I mean season that was really good. I got bored the next season so have not watched it since.
ReplyDeleteWell now that the mad man is dead CA does not need to spend a fortune on his murder trial. It's to bad he went crazy like that he looked like such a happy person and nice man in his photos. Have a great weekend. Hugs
Ciao Darylynn, have a wonderful weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteI thought of you as I followed the manhunt and cabin burning. The world just seems to have gone crazy!
ReplyDeleteI've never watched Survivor. I know, I'm a bit odd. But, I agree with you. I couldn't be on it with no bathroom facilities.
Have a great weekend!
