The boys were hungry and wanted to go to a new McDonald's that opened by their house so we went through the drive thru for a couple of Happy Meals and then took them to a local park to eat and play on the play equipment. Since Cooper and Kanan were with us, we had to get them out of the SUV. We're trying to find a day soon to take the boys to Disneyland. We were hoping to do it while Disneyland was decorated for Halloween but we're running out of time. We don't want to go while it's still this hot. Bad enough standing in long lines without the sun beating down on you, too. We haven't told Ryan and Jacob yet because they would be going crazy asking every day, "When???" They will be so excited!

Howl-o-Ween
We found another dog event to attend on Sunday. This one was called the Howl-o-Ween Pooch Parade and Pet Expo. It was at a park in Simi Valley. We picked up Ryan and Jacob and took them along. I knew they would enjoy seeing the dogs in Halloween costumes. The link above has lots of photos and tells about it. I only took a couple of photos. It was very hot so we were in the shade and the photos were all a little dark but here's one so you get the idea. I took this shot to show you how the owners were dressing up to match their pooches.

oh yes, keep it to yourself until the trip is imminent!
ReplyDeleteLovely thing to do though. Our nearest one is Paris, and I'm sure we'll take the girl one day.
Our clocks went forward at the weekend, so I feel all topsy turvy. Not as 'all over the place' as some of the people in the US though. My god, what weather is hitting over there right now. It is scary.
I saw on the news that LA had a 'minor' earthquake! Minor?! I bet it was big enough to make me scream, but I'm sure you are used to quakes.
Lovely pics, looks like a fabulous weekend.
xx
Hi Darylynn, I did not feel the earthquake but I was at my dad's house. Glad the heat is declining. Did you see the Haloween pics at FB? I loved being a hippie chick. Forgot to bring my costume back for Wed. I will be a Hello Kitty instead. Dland sounds good and I hope go go this Christmas season. Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteback not forward. See? I am easily confused!
ReplyDeleteHi Darylynn,
ReplyDeleteThe Pooch Parade looked great! I know the kids had a good time. You guys better go to Disneland soon when it gets close to the Holidays the crowds are crazy! I went 2 years ago near Christmas and I will never go again during that time of thr year. I never made it on one ride stood in line for hours and walked away. Crowds were crazy! And that was in the afternoon!I know they will be so excited to go. I hope the heat lets up this week. Have a wonderful Monday. Hugs, Dru
How funny! Dogs in their costumes. Some people are very clever. Disneyland would be fun to visit now but I agree that the heat just makes for a miserable day standing in lines. I hope to get to Disney World near Christmas time to see the decorations.
ReplyDeleteSandy brought some increased wind but that was all. I'm very concerned about those up in the northeast right now.
Long may they howl too!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun trip to disneyland. Hope its not too hot for it.
I am sitting here watching trees fall. lol.
AMEN with the not telling the boys. I get the same thing. I had to determine when to tell them they won the drawing so they wouldn't nag me to death. HUGS
ReplyDeleteOh, heat is not our problem here. We are in full swing Fall season. We had lots of rain and wind this weekend. I am trying to find a somewhat desent day to get up there and clean out the gutters. Note to self; clean gutters in the summer. HUGS again
