Halloween Orders

Ryan is really into Halloween this year.  I think it's because he's not quite as terrified as he was in the past and his bravery is creating a bit of an obsession.  He wants to wear his Halloween costume all the time.  He's going to be Ironman.  Here he is on Friday watching The Avengers movie on my iPad while wearing his costume.

On the porch, I have my huge spider on the front door, the new spider web with drop down spider, a bat, and then Ryan insisted I should have a ghost.  So I ran around looking for a ghost that wasn't too scary.  He liked it  but then informed me that now I needed a black cat.  Can an order for a witch be far behind?  At least all this is fitting in with my black and white theme!

On  Sunday, I planted my fall- winter flowers in my front yard flower bed.  I planted peachy orange and violet blue pansies and a back row of taller of dark orange and yellow fresia.  I hope they'll be as successful as my spring-summer marigolds and gerbera daisies!

  1. I'm having a 'white autumn' this year, so I am loving your white halloween. I think I may do that too, so that Girly Chops gets some decorating, but it keeps my simple theme.

    Love Ryan's outfit!

Thanks for the bd wishes. I had a superb day, and yes, I've uploaded a few pics!

  2. Hi Darylynn,
What a cute picture of Ryan :) That costume will be worn put by the time it is Halloween lol I love your front door! A witch will be next I am sure! Good luck with your new Fall/Winter flowers. I added some new ones by my front door since I have no yard or even a patio. 2 things I wish my place had patio balconies and a fireplace. Hope you have a great Monday. Rain and snow are on the way this week. Hugs, Dru

  3. It is fun that Ryan has got so involved in the decorating. I am pulling out the decorations today to begin decorating. I am afraid that I am going to have "supervisors" too telling me what else we need to buy. They are really into letting me know these things. HUGS

  5. Hi Darylynn! I'm back from my break and have lots to share :) I love that Ryan is wearing his costume already and how fitting since he loves Ironman SO much. Shawn is going to be a chef (originally he wanted to be a bowl of spaghetti - he was completely serious. I am glad he changed his mind since it would have been a lot of work on my part!)

I love your decorations and I think it's so funny that the kids keep telling you to get more :) Shawn has really been into it this year as well.

  6. Hello Darylynn,
I love how rather neutral the B&W Halloween decorations look.
My boys have never been into it, but I suppose it's because it's never been a tradition in France.
They won't say no to a handful of candies, though LOL
Have a great week, my friend !
    xoxo

  7. Hi Darylynn;

Love the photos, saw them both on FB. My family don't really celebrate Halloween. But I do love seeing the little ones dressed up. Ryan looks adorable. That's a precious memory photo. Have a great day ahead. Hugs

  8. I forgot to tell you that I had some dish last Friday night at the recovery group potluck that had kale in it. I of course thought of you. It was an African dish with pineapple, rice, kale in it. I went online to see if there were recipes with those ingredients in them, and there are. I am not a fan of the kale probably because it was new. It looks a lot like spinach... and I mouth was disappointed it wasn't spinach. Spinach might be a good substitute though. However, I was surprised that I ate what I had put on my plate... so it wasn't that bad. HUGS

  9. I saw cats and witches at Joann's this weekend. Cool how Ryan is helping you decorate. The grand kids have been playing with the fake pumpkins that are decorated with "costumes" You will have to post a picture of your fall plants. Enjoy the rain.
