Fashion Nonsense

Boys!  They have no fashion sense.  Everything they wear has to have superheroes or Disney characters on them.  Tried to convince Jacob to get these cute swimsuits with matching rash guards and hats...there were friendly sharks, VW surf wagons and starfish, but no!  He had to have Disney Cars.  Here he is proudly modeling his new outfit.

He loves to browse Toys R Us catalogs and tell me what he "needs."  So I was teasing him by showing him Disney princess toys, Hello Kitty and My Little Pony.  He wouldn't hear of it!  We are going to take him this week to the little local waterpark so now he's all set.  We are having a big warm up with temperatures in the 100's by the weekend.

Sorry for my lack of posting and visits.  Sitting still really bothers me.  I see my doctor this Monday so I'm pretty sure I'll get the microdiscectomy surgery since it's been 5 long months with no improvement at all.  I gave it the old college try with physical therapy so at least I feel like I didn't just give in to the surgery without giving other things a shot.

    The Girl went through a Rory the Racing car phase when she was 2 or 3, but I made sure I girled it up a bit by making sure she had something pink on too!

    I'm quietly chuffed to bits that she's so girly girl now. This very morn we had to go shopping for bd pressies, she made a beeline for the pink section and came away with Barbie stuff, and even a 'make your own lipgloss kit'!

    hope your pain in the rump* gets sorted one way or the other. Not fun.

    xx

    * I know it's not really your rump, but I thought it'd add a comedy element ;o)x

  2. Hi Darylynn,
    He does look cute in that outfit. Pretty funny he would not go for what you wanted to buy for him. It is going to heat up which I am not looking forward to the weather is perfect now! So sorry your PT didn't work but you did give it a try. Keep me posted when and what the surgery will entail. Have a wonderful Wednesday. Hugs, Dru

    You have been in my prayers for healing with the disc problem. You really did try to avoid the surgery but if it must be then I will be praying for a successful surgery and a speedy & complete recovery. Hugz

  5. Hi Darylynn, Funny how the boys know what they like just like the girls do. We got the grands a water table, just in time for the hot water. We also got them a pool too for the hot weather. Eventually we plan to get our spa up and running. We need to get a new cover for it.

    I will be praying for your back. I know I am getting stiffer around the hips. Life moved more before FV!

  6. I know what you mean with the characters. However, I want you to know that it changes. I will be thinking that they (the boys) still like one thing and low and behold it has now become "baby". You need a score card on these changes. I certainly need them with me so that I will have their approval when buying something for them. HUGS

  8. HI Darylynn that is awful you have to have surgery. I hear that you should not let this go on to long. I had Sciatica last year from January until mid July then it went away and no problems since but I have been trying so hard to be careful and not overdue things like I did last year. I did not do the therapy, been there done that so many times I am not doing it ever again. Well I say that now. He he. Have a great weekend and try to relax the back. Hugs
