Farm Fresh to You

Our friends Chris and Liz use this service and yesterday there was a Groupon to try it so I bought it.  It's $31.00 worth of fresh organic fruits and vegetables delivered right to your door for $15.00.  The company is called Farm Fresh to You.  If you decide to keep the service, you can choose to have your box of goodies delivered weekly, every other week or even once a month.  We'll try it and see if we like it.  You can go on their website and customize what is delivered to you if you want certain things left out.  For example, I am not a fan of melons other than watermelon so I can choose to omit that and have things like berries, peaches, etc... delivered.  I used to love it when we had a milkman but once the kids grew up, we didn't use enough dairy products to make it worthwhile.  Here's a sample of the veggies you might receive.

I am having trouble finding time to visit because Ryan is not taking naps.  He'll be 5 soon so I guess I'm expecting too much.  He told me yesterday, "Nani, I had a nice day."  We took the boys to a park in the morning, then we did a little shopping at Sport's Chalet and we ended it with lunch out.  I took this photo of Ryan trying on a bike helmet.  He doesn't like wearing them but this one he liked! (Excuse the mediocre cellphone photo.)

  1. I had a veg box delivery for a while a few years back. Loved it at first, but then it got tedious when I had tons of one thing, not much of another. Can't really pick and choose here, the weather dictates so much.

Ah, the end of nap time. It's a sad day when you realise it has come to its natural conclusion. I think Girly kept hers until sh turned 4, but then she just wouldn't sleep. I gave up on it then. But, I used to get her to have Rest & Relaxation time instesad, and that's something she asks for from time to time now. No expectation of nap, just relaxing with the laptop and some games, reading, or watching a dvd in the living room with blankets and curtains drawn. It gives her a little rest and I can get on. Doesn't happen that often though, if I'm honest.

Last day of school tomorrow, then I have the girl to myself for six whole weeks. So excited!

  4. Hi Darylynn,
That sounds like a great service. Not for me since I would end up wasting veggies and fruits. I get them as I go along. I do eat fruit every morning. I love only watermelon and cantalope no honeydew for me. Ryan looks cute with his new helmut. Have a great Thursday.
    Hugs, Dru

  5. I loved milk delivery.
Ryan likes the cool helmets I see.
When my kids were too old for naps I still wanted that quiet time for myself to be able to do things so they had to spend an hour and a half doing something quiet every day, like reading or something but racing around came to an end at that time.
Instituting 'quiet time' was the best thing I ever did.
Have a great Thursday. (how did it get to be Thurs already?)
    Hugs

  7. I like that you get the fresh produce right to your door what a great idea and very entrepreneurial. I am always amazed at people creativity. I would love that and it's not expensive either. Wow Ryan is getting so big and very handsome. I guess it's off to Kindergarten next year. Morgan took naps at 5 but it was harder to get her to. Her mom did not have a schedule for her in any way so I was lucky to get one with her for the time I babysat her. She still does not have a schedule and gets to stay up all night if she wants on a daily basis, which pretty much took keeping her over night off the table a few years ago also when her mom handed her a phone to text all day long. It was like what's the point. I always tell her be with the one your with. Remember that song? Have a great day. Big hugs

  8. I love getting fresh veggies and fruit from the local farms around here. I make it a priority to stop and buy things on the weekend if I can.

Love the helmet. Riley would be the who would want that.

    HUGS
