Justin and Sarah's whirlwind traveling continues so I thought I'd share a few more photos from England and then a couple from Istanbul. Again, I may be mistaken on where the photos were taken because Justin is uploading them from his iPhone to Facebook without a lot of commentary. On Friday, they visited Hampton Court. They took the train from Waterloo which is about a 30 minute ride from where they were staying in London and then a short 5 minute walk to the palace. I think most of these photos were taken there.

Do you like my position of photos... the clink coming after the pub? They also visited the
British Museum and took lots of photos of sculptures, samurai and mummies. Another highlight for Justin was the
Churchill War Rooms. I'm not going to share those photos because they are just of artifacts and things with no people in them. No photos of Harrods, Sadie. Not sure if Sarah is big on shopping or if she was just catering their sightseeing to a guy's point of view. On Saturday night they flew from Heathrow to Istanbul arriving after dark. Fortunately, they were able to get these spectacular nighttime photos of two very famous Istanbul landmarks: the
Hagia Sofia and
The Blue Mosque. Tomorrow, I'll share a short video that Justin took inside The Blue Mosque during prayer time and a few daytime photos of Istanbul. Currently, they are exploring Green ruins on the Aegean Coast of Turkey.

We're hanging in there with the dogs and getting a good routine down. On St. Patrick's Day, we had a lot of rain but then it cleared and we had a rainbow right out our front door. Rain is so rare here so to have a rainbow on St. Patrick's Day seemed really special. Jeff and I had an Irish beer- Harp Lager. I know, we should've been really Irish and had Guinness Stout!
They really are on a whirlwind trip! How days are they staying at each place?
ReplyDeleteHi Darylynn,
ReplyDeleteMy head is spinning how fast and how many places they are visiting in such a short time. Great pictures! I saw the rainbow when I was picking up my corned beef dinner at Tallyrand Saturday night.Sound like you and the 4 doggies are getting along just great!Have a wonderful Moday. Hugs, Dru
*sharp intake of breath* 'Not sure if Sarah is big on shopping' - what does that even mean?!
ReplyDeleteThey have certainly covered plenty of miles over the past week or so!
Love the rainbbow pic.
x
wow, they've been travelling like mad !! I hope (I bet !) they've been enjoying each & every part of their trip ! Have a great new week ! oxoxo
ReplyDeleteThe photos are so fun to see. I am glad they are having fun.
ReplyDeleteThe rainbow must have been very special there in CA... any pots of gold?
HUGS
How cool that you got a rainbow. The weather should be nice and our family is going to Disneyland on Saturday so I hope it stays that way. I can understand them not going to Harrods because they are on a tight schedule. I am enjoying the pictures. I wanted to go to Macy's but didn't nor the Union Station which we passed a number of times while in a taxi.
ReplyDeleteOur church moved into its current location in March of 2005 and Andrew and Marina were married in it that May. The picture at my blog is me in front of our building. We have the main church that holds about 600 a service and we have 3 services. There are the children's classes, youth room and Spanish Ministry Room. There are plans for a third phase. There is a lot more property to build on. We will see what the future holds.
HiDarylynn,
ReplyDeleteFab pics once again! Too bad they didn't go to Harrods!! I think I need to get out my England photos and take walk down memory lane. ;)
That rainbow is beautiful! How fun to have it on St.Patrick's day!
Yes, the shake is minty. Mine turned out yummy! Katie has a lot of very good recipes, I think you will really enjoy her site.
Happy Monday!
~hugs~
What great photos, Justin's girlfriend Sarah is beautiful. I had to laugh at Justin in the jail, Steve had the same pose in the jail at Alcatraz in San Fran, even with his face in his hands. I think it's so funny. Have a great Tuesday hugs
