I've had several people tell me that they cannot leave a comment on my blog. Kia had to resort to sending me a message through my WordPress blog. I'm not sure what to do about it. Is there anyway to add a tagboard? I could try changing the format of the comments- for example- so there's a pop-up box rather than the comment area appearing below my post but not sure if that will help. And Sadie answered my question about where my photos are going when I upload them here... to Picasa Web Album. I didn't know I had one... guess I do now. How do I find that?
Anyone watching American Idol? It will be interesting to see who the final 13 will be. They are taking the top 5 girl and top 5 guy vote getters and then each of the 3 judges will have a save. The quality of the singers sure has improved. There's no more Sanjaya's! We also have Survivor on Wednesday night so we watch that at 8 PM while we record Idol. Then we can buzz through the commercials and see Idol before we go to bed.
Changing to popup would help. You can add a tag board on the side using the html widget/gadget thingy.
ReplyDeleteI changed to pop up for a bit when Dru had problems commenting but I am now back to the threaded comments as she seems to have no problem now. It might just be a temporary glitch with blogger though.
Blogger comments have always been the sore spot for most bloggers. They were never as good as Word Press comments.
You access your Picassa album thru your google account.
But you don't have to host your photos there.
Using the old img src= formula also still works and once the photo is in your post you can then arrange it as you like by clicking on it.
leaving a comment is more work then just posting and clicking.

you can find the Picassa album on the dashboard. Scroll down, there is a list titled 'other stuff' (along with google reader and the likes), it's in the list. Click on it and it will take you straight to your photo albums.
ReplyDeleteBlogger comments are tempermental things. Sometimes they work, sometimes you can't even get to the board to leave one, sometimes you think you've left one but it doesn't 'stick'. Problems are normally sorted out quickly, but they still happen from time to time.
Yes, you can add a tag board. You can add it either in the side column (using the add elements section), or, add it on a new page. I've got tabs under my header graphic,which if clicked on take you to a new page. To do that, all you have to do is click on 'add a page' which is found on the 'posting' section. You'll see 'edit pages' as an option, click on it and it will take you to the place where you can edit and add them. You can add up to 20 pages, so you could have all manner of extra pages that way.
Did a search with the girl this morning, we had a great time oohing and ahhing and bad mouthing the Oscar frocks. See what you mean about Angelina! She really wanted to show off that leg didn't she?!

I have always hated Blogger for commenting. I've only used it with Jaana for Happy Snappy, but it's always been a real pain in the neck, and every now and then it just misbehave :( Let's see if today my comments will stick or not, LOL!

Count me among the lucky ones cuz I never have any problem with comments to you or anyone else. What I don't like are the blogs where you have to prove you're not a robot by inserting 2 words that sometimes next to impossible figure out. They bother my brain. Don't like that! hehe!
ReplyDeleteI have a new Angelina theory. She was on all the TV shows just before the nomination period hawking her new movie about Bosnia I think. Her movie didn't even get a mention. She wrote the script. Maybe the leg was her 'how do you like it?' Hollywood? Who knows. Happy day!

Morning Darylynn, I finally learned how to put pics and I link them from photobucket. When I uploaded from my computer all they did was become a Red X. The ablum from Google I believe you can find by going to Googles home page and then you click the more up top and it list all the Google items, like blogger, igoogle which is my home page and etc. Hope that helps. I haven't gotten into idol this season. I could record it too, which is probably what I should do. lol. Have a great day! *hugs*

ReplyDeleteYou should be able to use any java script based shout box on blogger. Just paste it into the html/javascript widget and it should work.
http://www.myshoutbox.com/ seems free and I think it would probably work, but most should work on Blogger.

Hi Darylynn, I am watching everything. I just started watching Voice and then there is the new one called Smash. I have had Eddie and Audrina this week. When I have to switch over to Blogger for good, I will be sure to ask the teacher for help :)
