Field Trip
Have yet another field trip to go on with Ryan today. This time it's to the Thousand Oaks Public Library. We will be there at 9:30 AM before the library opens and have a guided tour, then a story hour with puppets and finally an Eric Carle craft. He is the author of numerous children's books including The Very Hungry Caterpillar and The Grouchy Ladybug. After the library, we will go to the adjacent park where we'll have lunch and the kids can play on the play equipment. Not sure yet if I'll be bringing Jacob along. It was so nice having him arrive a little before 9 instead of having to be at their house around 7:30 AM. He breezed in wearing sunglasses on a very overcast morning and never took them off until almost lunchtime. He wore them while playing and watching his DVD's. No wonder he asked me to turn on the lights! Here he is...

ReplyDeleteI hope you are out having a wonderful field trip at the library. Its nice to get to see things with a child. It opens things up for us a lot and we get to recall the wonder of being a child I think.

That sounds fun Darylynn I loved going on little trips with Morgan to places like that. I really miss those days. Ryan is adorable in his sunglasses. He looks like a happy little boy. Have fun! Hugs
ReplyDeleteHi Darylynn;
ReplyDeleteWhen I was working in the Town Hall years back, our local library was based in a section of the hall and when Marge the librarian had story hour for the pre-schoolers, I made sure I didn't miss it. I loved listening to her read and play the parts in whatever children's book she was reading that week. I guess I never grw up. LOL!!
Looks like you will have another adorable blond movie star in your family. Maybe Ryan will follow his uncle's footsteps. ;-} He is adorable!! Hug him for me. Hugs
Turn on the lights? That is funny. Hugs
