Turkey

Yesterday, I showed you The Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia at night so here's a few daytime photos from Istanbul.  Justin is standing in front of the Blue Mosque.  They went inside and Justin took a short video during prayer time but I couldn't get it off of his Facebook page like I've been able to get the photos.

Sarah was looking forward to taking Justin to Istanbul's famous Grand Bazaar to buy souvenirs but she didn't count on it being closed on Sunday's.  She was none too happy about it. There goes my Louis Vuitton knock-off bag!

Where there's a will, there's a way so they went to The Egyptian Bazaar instead and Justin was able to watch her haggling skills.

They left Istanbul Sunday afternoon for a short flight to Selcuk and Kusadasi where they are visiting the ancient city of Ephesus and the Temple of Artemis ruins.  I'll show you photos of the ruins tomorrow but check out their luxury resort hotel on the Aegean Coast, the Korumar Hotel De Luxe.  I just noticed they have live webcams so I'll have to see if I can spot them today.

After all those flights and running around, they are spending Tuesday, their last day, at the hotel all day.  They have a free breakfast and dinner and they can indulge in Turkish baths, massages and relaxing by the pool.  There's even an "Underwater World" at the hotel where Justin can dive.  By the way, that photo above is one they took- it's not a postcard.  Look how beautiful the weather has been in all their photos.

  1. I should think they'll want to put their feet up and have a bit of a rest after all that travelling!

  5. Such gorgeous photos, Darylynn. The water near their hotel is breathtaking! Same question as Dru... was Sarah able to find a purse in that neat looking market area? What a beautiful couple they make. I really like that photo of them with the gardens in the background.

Glad you are managing the zoo so well. Routine is a good thing with that many animals! lol. Sounds like you had some magic and a bit o' the luck of the Irish on St. Patrick's Day with that lovely rainbow! ((hugs))
