Trick or Treating

I ended up trick-or-treating with Ryan and Jacob after all.  Pat's dad didn't come so instead of just taking photos and leaving, I went with them and Jeff stayed back at their house handing out candy.  They were both very brave for the most part marching right up to doors and holding out their treat bags.  Their neighborhood is very friendly and they know most of the families that live there.  Here are a few photos from the night.
Ryan IS Ironman

Jacob is a Fireman just like Grandpa

This was a very spooky house!

Not too sure about this place!

Don't worry Jacob, Ironman will save you!

Happy weekend and let's hope November will be an uneventful month with no more disasters like Sandy!

  1. LOL! Love the third photo at the spooky house. You could see by their eyes that they weren't too sure about going there. But thank goodness Ironman was there to save the Fireman. ;-} Have a great day ahead and yes! no more disasters and destruction like Sandy. Hugs

  2. Hi Darylynn, I love the pics, especially how Jacob is looking up at Ryan for re assurance? I am working on a Christmas quilt for my Christmas pages. I am pretty sure I have one of yours. If not I will let you know. I save my pages when went from one server to another, but for some reason the graphic for that page is missing. Ok I love creating pages anyways. Hugs

  4. Darylynn, what adorable pictures! I'm glad you got to go with them & make that memory. They both look so proud of their costumes. It really touched me to see them going to the scary house side by side, looking unsure, but beiing brave together. I'm sure they'll have many times in life in which that will be the case. So cute!! Hugs

  5. The kids look so cute! I'm actually quite jealous that it was dark outside for your trick-or-treating. My town does is SO very early, that it's light out when we go. Usually it's 4-7pm and it doesn't get dark out until about 7:30 or so... to me it takes the fun out of it. Nevertheless, Shawn had a good time. Glad the boys did too! Have a great weekend....

  7. Happy Friday, Darylynn,
Ryan and Jacob look fabulous in their costumes! Those pics of that spooky yard are awesome. Love that tree with pumpkins hanging, in the background! My YoWindow app was showing animated snow earlier, I was almost clapping my hands in glee, such a neat app, but I would have woke up Rog lol. He gets Fridays off from College, so it's a sleep-in day for him ;o). Have a super Friday and weekend ahead, sweet friend. ((hugs))

  8. I remember going trick or treating when my kids were litte. It was so fun to watch the kids! One year a friend and I took our kids out together and she made clown costumes for each of us to wear. I had that thing for years and finally gave it to a church for their drama group!

  11. Great photos of the boys. Its wonderful you got to go trick or treating with the boys.
I like how tentative Ryan looks on the scary house.
We had a house like that in our neighborhood when I was a kid.
No outside lights were ever on and only one spooky dim light inside at the end of a long central corridor which could be seen through the big front door, and it didn't even have to be Halloween.
    Have a great weekend.
    Hugs

  12. Happy Sunday, Darylynn! I hope that you're having a great weekend with your family. :) Love the photos. You can't go wrong with Ironman and a fireman. I don't know about you, but I can't believe it's November already. Have a great day! Hugs.

  13. HI Darylynn the boys are adorable, their costumes are cute. I bet they were just so excited. Jacob being the fireman like Jeff is adorable.
I don't do Halloween now that the kids are not home. I notice all the parents go out with the kids and collect candy for themselves as well both parents leaving no one home to pass out candy. It's rude. I am glad Jeff stayed home to do it. Now that the parents collect candy as well I don't do pass out any now. Apparently my kids generation feels the need to get candy as well. LOL!
    Have a great week. Hugs
