Traveling Girl

Writing an early post before I settle in to watch the election returns and I thought I'd avoid writing about anything political.  I'm going to be so glad that the election is over.  We get so many robo-calls that we just let the answering machine pick up and our mail isn't getting here until almost 5 PM because the poor mailman is loaded down with all the political propaganda.

Justin's girlfriend Sarah is leaving tomorrow for another of her many trips!  As you may remember, she and Justin went to London, Switzerland and Istanbul in March and then to Panama and Costa Rica in late August.  Now she is off (with a relative and a girlfriend) to Thailand, Cambodia and Viet Nam.  She'll be gone for about 3 weeks.  Justin is taking her to the airport Thursday night and then will come over here for a visit.  Once he's at LAX, he's almost half way here from his home in Orange County.  He'll bring his dog Sierra and maybe work from here (on the computer) on Friday.  It will be nice having him for a visit.  We don't see him nearly as often as we'd like.

  4. Hi Darylynn;

    I too avoid posting anything political. I want to remain being friends with all our online buddies. ;-}
    My sister-in-law used to work for one of the airlines in NY years ago. She and my brother have been all over the globe because of that. Nice to have that privilege. I know how you feel about being able to spend time with your son as I look forward to spending time with mine twice as month.
    Have a great day ahead. Hugs

  7. Hi Darylynn, hubby had 2 hours of OT on Tues and was beat. He has put in a lot of extra time the past 2 weeks due to political mail. That is ok because it is spending money for our little vacation to Vegas after Thanksgiving. Then he is retiring at the end of Jan. Enjoy your time with Justin! Hugs

  8. I was looking to see if you yet posted any thoughts regarding the elections. I am with you, I can't believe how many ads we got about the candidates. It really bothers me because the could put that money to better use. How about the homeless? Have a great visit with Justin! HUGS

  13. Hi Darylynn,
    I'm sure Justin and Sarah will miss each other very much, but so nice that he'll be staying with you for a few days :) I'm glad your election is over, too... we get a fair amount of coverage on it on our Canadian news programs, too! lol. It's snowing like crazy here... I have plenty to share. Want some? No? I swear I could hear you yelling 'no!', just now! lol. I'm not looking forward to traveling the roads to college today. My Chevy Blazer has the 4 wheel drive, but yesterday it was even slippery in that mode, on the roads!

    Hope you're having a super day. ((hugs))
