It's very wintry here in Southern California. Our temps are dropping down into the 30's overnight and only in the upper 50's, lower 60's during the day. That's cold for us!
I posted this photo on Facebook so you may have seen it there. It's our 2012 Christmas cards received so far. I kept that card holder up all year and used it for photos so just covered up the photos with cards.
You can see that Cooper and Kanan photobombed the shot. I got the card holder at Pottery Barn last year when they sent me a "Spend $50.00, get $25.00 off" gift card. I received another one of those coupons this year so I finally found something to use it on. I ordered this. It went on sale first so I got an especially good deal, I think!
It's a "Sleigh Bell Crewel Embroidered Table Runner." It's just the right size for my dining room table when both leaves are in. I like the little bells on the ends. I ordered it on Wednesday and by Thursday they were all gone.
Have a great weekend! I'm going to try and slow down and sit by the fireplace and enjoy the tree. It'll be over before we know it... Christmas, that is!
yep, still here! I was dithering over changing sheets & hoovering this morning, thinking 'is it worth it if we're all going to die' but I did, and what do you know, the planet - and all on it - is still here!

Yes, I'm trying to do that too. Get things done and out of the way so I can just sit and enjoy the tree! I have yet to do that once. Not happy about it. But time has been used up by school mainly, yesterday I walked to and from school 8 times, taking & picking up the girl, then back again for a school disco! Am so glad it's Friday, and not only are we alive, but it's time to enjoy the Christmas hols! Wheel it on! If Bill doesn't return home with a bottle of something bubbly & celebratory, then his first pressie next year is a divorce! ;o)

Hi Darylynn, Still here but man what a storm last night. More trees down and we lost power from last night until 10 am this morning. Wind blow like a Banshee, moaning and howling all through the night.

ReplyDeleteYes, we're all still here... fancy that?! lol. I adore that Christmas table runner, it's fabulous! The bells really are a very nice touch. As I'm typing this, the snow is coming down gently and supposed to keep us company through tomorrow. It's really cold, though... -21 C (-5.8 F)!! One of these years I'll get my act together and send out Christmas cards. I'll try for next Christmas ;o). Thank you, again, for the beautiful Christmas card you sent and the picture. I still have Ryan's baby pic with Santa, that you sent one year :) Finally got my class grade; teacher took his sweet time, lol. I did good, that's all that matters, though! Have a cozy day. ((hugs))
We're having some frosty weather here in Florida too. It was 33 degrees at 7:30 this morning and is supposed to be colder tonight.
