Jeff and I pre-ordered iPhone 5's for our anniversary present to one another. The conversation went like this:
Me: You can get me the new iPhone for my birthday.
Jeff: I'm getting one, too.
Me: Okay, then they can be our anniversary present.
Jeff: Okay, it can be your anniversary present AND your birthday present.
He knows better. I ordered mine in white and he ordered a black one. We currently have LG smart phones but haven't used them as such so this will be new for us. I'm somewhat used to the idea because I have an iPad but it will be interesting having access to the internet while out and about. I'm also happy to have a good quality camera on my phone and a bigger screen will help because it's hard to see the photos I take on my small screen. We should have the new phones by the end of the month.
Last night, we watched the movie "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen." Guess what we had for dinner? Yes, salmon. I told Jeff that we should let our movies help suggest dinners for us. We're always trying to figure out what to have for dinner. Meatless Monday and Friday Night Take-out helps with 2 nights a week so planning a dinner around a movie is a way to get a little creative. For example, next up on our queue is "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" which takes place in India so we're going to have chicken curry. Also on our queue is the thriller Cabin in the Woods. What should we have with that? Maybe chili? And then there's "What to Expect When You're Expecting?" No pickles and ice cream! I guess what ever we are craving that night. Speaking of cravings... my grandmother craved ketchup when she was pregnant with my mother and my mother ended up being a big ketchup eater. I inherited the love of ketchup and so has Jessica. And does anyone still spell it catsup?
Hi Darylynn, I am sure you will love your IPhone. I have really enjoyed mine and the newer ones have better photo abilities. My daugther is getting one too, but I have another year on mine. We watched Battleship today and it was pretty good for a Sci-Fi movie. Of course we were excited because of the USS Misourri. I have been cutting back on FV and working on my website. I am also crafting again. I likie ketchup on my scrambled eggs, fries and hot dogs.

ReplyDeleteI love my new iPhone I know you and Jeff will too. Since you have the iPad it will seem pretty easy for you. I was playing with Paul's iPad last week and it felt like my iPhone but big. Cabin in the Woods was pretty good not what you will expect as far as food for that movie chili or beef stew would be good :) I like ketchup on my eggs person and of course fries, onion rings,hamburgers and hot dogs. Now Justin is a ketchup nut he eats it on turkey amd chicken. Hope you have a wonderful Monday. Hugs, Dru

ReplyDeleteYey to your new Iphone. Bill bought me a pink mobile phone in August and do you know what? I have yet to use it. I'm just not a mobile kind of girl. It has internet access on it, so I could use it for Twitter, but I don't know, I just can't bring myself to try it out yet. I prefer using the land line, and for the internet, a good old fashioned computer!
I have been posting on RDD a little lately. Not much, just now and then.

Great post Darylynn, Congratulations on both your anniversary gifts of iPhones. Would you believe I never tried out an iPhone or iPad! I tend to stay away from the "Apple" logo on anything. Too many memories of the old Apple computers. ;-}

Happy Anniversary! You will love your IPhones. We spend about 10 months a year on the road so I use my IPhone as a hot spot for 5 devices. I bring my laptop with me in our vehicle and play my games while my husband drives. Not all the campgrounds have wiifi. It works like a charm! We have to wait until our contract is up so it will be awhile before we get IPhone 5. Have fun!

ReplyDeleteI love the Meatless Mondays and Take out nights for fullers for two nights of a week. I am working on doing more with my crock pot since that is an easy way to have dinner waiting and ready when one is working.

Darylynn you will really love your new smart phones . I have the Samsung Galaxy 3S. I love it. My fav things are the camera and the GPS. Do fooursquare I just started that. The GPS helped Steve and I out of a mess in San Fran when we were lost. My other fav is how I can talk. My text instead of typing it. Have a wonderful first night of fall hugs
