I was worried they might be afraid. Justin was terrified of the train at Knott's Berry Farm when he was 2 and we had to chase him down to get him to ride. Looks like they weren't the least bit concerned.
Finally a quick shot of the boys visiting with a gorilla. Have you all seen the video of the little girl playing with gorillas? I don't care how tame they are, they are still wild animals!
Going to try and see if I can see the space shuttle arrive today. It's being piggybacked on a jet and will be flying over Malibu which is the closest to me. It will also fly over Disneyland, Griffith Park Observatory and many other local sights.

nope, they don't look in the slightest bit scared!
ReplyDeletehave a lovely weekend xx
Happy Friday Darylynn,
ReplyDeleteLookd like they had a good time actually. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Good luck seeing the space shuttle.
Hugs, Dru
I have seen the video of the kid with the (who is now 23) gorilla. I agree. Wild animals are wild animals. And children should only look from behind a fence at them. I am also someone who believes that the behavior of certain dogs such as pit bulls can't always be trusted. It is natural and in their nature to act a certain way when there are certain situations.
ReplyDeleteThe boys look like they had such a good time. Do you remember the trolleys that went to LA back in the day? I remember going with my grandmother to LA on it when I was a kid. Good times!
HUGS
Looks like they had a wonderful time. The train looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteI remember my trips and just sitting on the bench at the town station watching the trains pull in and out with my grandfather. I loved it especially when the old steam trains would make a run for nostalgia sake.
On one special occasion he took me into the nearest big town to have lunch at a big store with a lunch counter. I was ecstatic over that and had a banana split!
Happy First day of Fall tomorrow.. the earliest fall since the 1800's.
Hugs
Hi Darylynn, Looks the train was fun for them. My hubby called me from work and he saw the Space shuttle fly over him while he was on freeway. He said the freeway almost came to a halt. My cousin said it flew over her school and she took a picture. I watched it on the news. I am sure we will so to the science museum when it is all set. I changed my blog over to fall today. Sure wish the real things would get here. Happy Birthday to Jacob. Hugs
ReplyDeleteHi Darylynn;
ReplyDeleteGreat photos and the boys look like they had fun. I still get excited when taking a train ride. LOL!
I agree regarding gorillas, do you remember the woman who had one as a pet and her friend who had her hair done differently that the gorilla ended up taking her face apart? No, I wouldn't trust any wild animal.
Have a lovely weekend my friend. Hugs
Looks like they are having fun. They are getting so big! Hugs
