It's a Go!

Two things actually are a go:  first, I got my surgery date.  It will be at the crack of dawn on Friday, July 12th.  Geesh!  That was the first available?!?  I'll probably be healed by then!  I asked if I could have a day other than Friday because the doctor isn't available over the weekend and if you have problems they just tell you to to to an ER.  They told me he always does his "minor surgeries" on Friday.  Well, I've never had a surgery so it's not minor to me but whatever...

The second thing that's a go is Jacob's little Tiny Tots Camp!  The last time I signed him up for something it was cancelled due to low enrollment but I called and they told me this was definitely a go!  I'm really happy for him because he needs the socialization.  He is the sweetest little thing but is very shy and just needs to have some experience with groups of children.  This is for 3 to 5 year olds and he will be 4 in September so should be just right for him.  It's right down the hill from my house- a stone's throw really- and it goes from 9 to noon, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  It starts next week.  He is very excited!

So glad Annie is back and I'm beyond thrilled for her that her surgery was a success and she continues to improve with her mobility!  Yay!

  2. I am happy you have a date fixed. It will come and go before you know it and we will all be right there with you in spirit and prayers. But, I hope you are healed by then. That would be so great! Whatever comes we'll all be rooting for you.
Happy also that Jacob will be making new little friends. I agree that its good for children to socialize with others their own age and overcome some shyness. Being shy can be so hard on kids.
    One day at a time..
    Have a lovely Wednesday
    Hugs

  3. I am glad you have a date for your surgery. I know it seems a long time from now... a month as of today. Time goes fast and you have time to prepare for any changes while you recover. HUGS

  5. I'm so happy to read that you have a surgery date. I hope that it gives you relief. Don't you like how they call them "minor surgeries." I suppose it's supposed to bring you some comfort.

Yay for Jacob! I remember loving camp when I was a child. I hope he has the same experience.

Enjoy your evening and have a great Thursday. Hugs

  6. Hi Darylynn, glad you got your surgery date. My brother in law will have his around the same time for his colon cancer. His is major surgery. I guess it depends on how long you are under and how much they have to do. I will be praying for you! Good that Jacob will be in a program. Jazzy starts a program in Sept too. Eddie will start Kinder though he is reading at 1st grade level. I don't think we will take the Panama Canal cruise cause it is around $3000 per person and that is not air fare but it is around 12-14 days. We do plan to go on another one in the future. Enjoy our nice weather. Hugs

  7. HI Darylynn, that is good to get your surgery scheduled and soon it will be over with. Healthcare is going to be slow soon for us all so I guess we better get used to it.
That is great for Jacob, who is going to take him while your healing? Jeff?
My FIL just had some major radiation for brain tumor and it took him forever to get in at the only facility for military around, I guess it's a military facility in the bay area. Not sure what it is called. It took like 3 months!
I worried it would spread worse during his wait.
The sooner this gets over with for you the better it will be so you don't have to think about it anymore and can get better. I've never had to wait for minor surgeries and procedures before and I have had quite a few all in my 20's, 30's, I have been so blessed so far in 40's and now 50's! yay! Have a great day. Hugs

  9. Good thing you now have a precise date for your surgery, even though it feels like in ages. It will be around soon, but I understand that when you're in pain, every day counts. Thinking about you & crossing fingers & toes that it will help you.
