Friday Field Trips

Ryan doesn't have school on Fridays so we have both of the boys all day.  It makes for a shorter, happier day if we take them out for a little adventure in the morning.  It also helps tire them out so they take nice, long afternoon naps.  On Friday, we went to the Gardens of the World, a botanical garden in Thousand Oaks.  We thought this would be a good choice since Ryan has been taking such an interest in flowers and gardening.  They also really enjoyed the Japanese Garden and koi pond.

We had a busy movie weekend.  We saw Mission Impossible:  Ghost Protocol and War Horse on DVD and a Saturday afternoon matinee of Hunger Games.  All good movies!

  2. Happy Monday Darylynn!
I came by this mornind I did not see this Sunday post?? The pictures of the boys at the Gardens of the Worlds are great. It looks like Ryan has a much shorter haircut than usual and next to Jacob and his head of curly locks it really looks short. I did not see War Horse animal issues and I know he doesn't die and Hunger Games not my cup of tea :))) I did like MI4 Ghost Protocal a lot. Check out 21 Jumpstreet that was really good and The Sitter is on DVD now I think you would like that also. Hope you have a wonderful Monday. Hugs, Dru

  4. Lovely place! What a great idea taking them on field trips. They will always remember that.
As for the scheduling of posts, sometimes there are glitches. It does work in Windows 7.

It is an ongoing problem they are trying to resolve and you are not alone it seems. I think due to the new interface they are having glitches.

One person here found a work around meantime that you might try.

  5. Catching up on visits! Looks like a great place to visit on a field trip. Not surprised that the kids loved it. If I ever get to CA again I'll have to ask Sue to take me there. Hugz!
