Right Place, Right time!

Ryan and Jacob were here on Monday so Jeff and I took them to the park.  We can also take the dogs to this particular park and Cooper and Kanan run around like crazy while the boys swing and play on the equipment!  While we were at the park, we heard sirens which, of course, got the boys very excited.  The sirens seemed to be getting louder and louder and soon they arrived at a house right across the street from the park.  There was a fire engine, two rescue ambulances and a private ambulance.  We walked the boys across the street and talked to the fireman waiting by the engine.  It was a medical emergency and the house was a small home for elderly residents.  While they were tending to the patient, the boys were able to climb around on the fire engine and the fireman gave them both little badge stickers.  Even though the boys had plenty of opportunities to be in a fire truck when Jeff was a fire captain, it never gets old to them.  Here's a photo of Ryan sitting in the truck and you can see his new short haircut.

One of the features I like about Blogger is you can add a large photo and it automatically uses the lightbox javascript so the photo is resized to fit in the blog and then you can click on the photo and see it larger. I also have a photo of Jacob in the truck but I thought I'd show this photo of him on the playground equipment.  He thought he was very daring trying to climb up this ladder.  You can see he's still a curly top!

Ryan is back in school today but Jacob will be here again for a few hours at least.  It's hard to find computer time when the boys are here but will try and get around to visit.  Did anyone make a favicon?  Looks like Kia did!  Well done!

  1. Hum, I cannot see my comment on yesterday post! :/ Did Blogger eat it?? This is one of the things I hate about Blogger! Jaana & I use it for Happy Snappy and we get email notification of new comments - but sometimes the comments are not there when we check! It's like Blogger just eats them every now and again. Tsk!

Anyway, glad you are having fun! yesterday I thanked you for the favicon reminder :) Zeno and I had a favicon (one of our mouse-made teddies) in the old website and Graphic Shoppe, but we totally forgot about it with the new site :) So I added one after reading your post :)

Ryan and Jacon are really handsome! So adorable! Thanks for sharing. Glad you had a lovely day together! :)

And let hope this comment will stay! :D

  4. Love the pictures of the boys. Ryan looks like he's loving that fire engine. Wonder if he'll grow up and follow in his grampa's shoes. Thanks for sharing your fun time with us. Hugz!

  5. Love the pictures of the boys. I don't blame them for not wanting to cut the curls. They're precious.

  7. Well, in a perfect world we would have the condo in florida AND the cabin/house in northern michigan. ;-) But for now it's just one. :-) We are looking for a house/cabin but are open to vacant land to build on also. We will see! Dan is in the process of getting retirement details worked out. It is a time of change and decisions! Have a good evening my friend! HUGS
