Not sure when we are going to go yet. Jeff's getting over a sore throat and cold and Jacob still has a lingering cough. When we do go, we will take the dogs, too.
Jeff and I are going to go see The Impossible today. It's a true story about the 2004 tsunami that hit Thailand. I have a teacher friend who also narrowly survived that disaster. She was separated from her family for many hours not knowing if they were alive or dead. Fortunately, they were all okay. We always try to see the likely Oscar nominated films and performances. So far, we've seen Argo, Lincoln, Les Miz, The Hobbit, Silver Linings Playbook, Beasts of the Southern Wild, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and Skyfall. We still need to see Zero Dark Thirty, Life of Pi, Django Unchained and maybe, The Dark Knight Rises. Next Thursday, January 10th, are when the nominations are announced so then we'll know for sure what ewe have left to try and see.

Hi Darylynn,
ReplyDeleteSecond comment :( for some reason I can't use Foxfire as my browser here at work to comment? I got an error and then lost my comment completely! The boys will have a lot of fun. It is so cold that I am sure there will be plenty of snow when you make it up there! I have seen all the movies I am intersted in seeing except Zero Dark Thirty I still have to see that. My favorites are Django and Argo so far. We are going to a Benson Interruption of the Golden Globes Sunday 1/13 it will be a pot luck and the interruption afterwards for members only at Cinefamily theater on Fairfax :) Have a great weekend. Hugs, Dru
That looks like quite a contraption for the snow! The boys will love it. I've only seen "The Hobbit". Not much of a movie goer but I just had to see that one!
ReplyDeleteHi Darylynn, Nice snow board for the boys. They're definitely gonna love the board & the snow. Got to go the movies today. Saw Lincoln and plan on Les Mis one day next week. Hugz!
ReplyDeleteHi Darylynn,
ReplyDeleteLove the look of that snow board for the boys! I can just imagine how excited they are. Lots of amazing and inspiring stories came out of that tsunami tragedy and I'm glad to hear that one of them was your friend and her family.
What did you think about Lincoln movie? I'm curious about that one. Dru mentioned Django on her blog; that's another one that I want to see. And, in answer to your question a few days back on my blog... my natural hair color is dark blonde :) Happy new year, sweet lady! ((hugs))
We keep trying to decide what shows to go see. They cost so much any more that we choose carefully. We were going to go during the holidays but never went. I think that we will try this month.
ReplyDeleteSnow may come this week to our area. I am hoping not but it looks like it is a strong possiblity. Guess the boys will have to get out their snow things too.
HUGS
