Dingo Delivery

Sierra, Justin's dog, is here with us.  Sarah, Justin's girlfriend, gave Justin a trip to Colorado for Christmas and they are leaving this morning at 7:30 AM and will return home Monday evening.  Sarah's best friend lives there and they are all going to go snowboarding and tubing.  They are lucky that Colorado is pretty warm right now compared to the big chill going on in the Midwest and back East.  The temperatures in Denver during the day have been in the 50's.  You may remember that Sarah is a travel fanatic and they have already planned their next trip.  They are leaving in mid-March for two weeks in Europe.  They are flying to Venice, Italy via Amsterdam.  They still haven't worked out the details of where they will be going from there.  Maybe Germany or Prague.  Their return flight is from Dublin to Paris and then to Los Angeles so they will probably spend some time in Ireland and France.  They want us to join them but we are reluctant to go in March when the weather will still be too cold for our liking.  We did however get going on getting our passports.  We found we had to get certified copies of our birth certificates so we did that last Tuesday and they should be here in a couple of weeks.  Here's a photo of our little visitor, Sierra.  She's a Carolina Dog which is also known as an American Dingo.  Justin rescued her as a pup from a group in Orange County that saved her from the pound on the day she was due to be euthanized.  She's a great little dog...really smart and well-behaved.
Hi Sierra!
In case you missed my last post, take a look below at our snow day with the boys!  We all had the best time!

  1. Happpy Friday Darylynn,
They will have a fun weekend in Colorado that is for sure. I haven't been there in years! Yay you got your passports. I was surprised when going to the Caribbean years ago that I had to have my state birth cert too. The hospital has so much more info it seems legit to me and we used them to get our drivers licenses. I had to get my passport abotu 5 years ago when they changed the laws of cruising and going to Canada & Mexico. They are good for 10 years at least. Natasha ad to renew hers for our cruise in March. Sierra is a really cute dog and looks like a sweetheart. Have a great weekend. Hugs, Dru

  4. Justin is becoming a world traveler as well. I was fortunate to go to Denver once. Loved it. Went to the Rockies while we were there. No skiing for me though. Chicken!!

  5. get a grip woman, Europe isn't that cold in March!!!! Dublin, Paris, then LA? Shouldn't it be Paris, Dublin, then on to LA? Seems a bit topsy turvy the other way.

    sweet doggy.

yeah, I know. I've not been around. I've had my reasons. Couldn't talk about it until I had more certain info. Have done so now. I'm pretty sure you'll forgive me.

    xx

  6. Aw you should go with the kids to Europe. It does now warm up there until mid summer. Still wonderful when it's cold. I love it there chilly so pretty!
Steve and I just applied for our passports well I did but Steve does not have the certified copy of his birth cert and it won't be here in time for us to go to Canada so we are going to have to go to SF to get his. Apparently PA takes 6 to 8 weeks to get ready and mail you a copy of the certified copy. Are they slow or what? in this digital age I was shocked and frustrated.
I went ahead with his old birth record and school recors in hopes that it will all arrive in time and be approved, or he gets the certified Birth Cert copy sooner that anticipated.
How fun for the kids to go to Europe again. That must be really expensive to save for all these trips. Does she save her money for the trips and lay off the other things one might spend their money on?
There dog is cute, so tiny! Big hugs

  7. Hi Darylynn;

How wonderful for Justin and Sarah to be able to travel to beautiful countries. I'm looking forward to seeing their photos when they return. Justin's Sierra is adorable. I'm so glad she was rescued and is in a loving family.

Just got my power back on. It's been out since last night. Probably caused by the snow and wind or a car slipping into an electric pole.

Have a lovely weekend my friend. Hugs

  8. You should go! Go! Go! :) March in central Europe is not that cold. You can find days in the 60s. And in the Mediterranean area March can be a wonderful spring month with blossoms everywhere. :) Plus, there won't be so many tourists around and you will be able to enjoy sightseeing. Amsterdam is gorgeous too, hope you'll have time to see it. :)
Have a happy weekend with cute Sierra. xo
