On the 1st, we decorated our Christmas tree and changed over a lot of our decor to Christmas. I'm saving a few ornaments for Ryan and Jacob to add today. From what I hear, they are both sick with colds so that's always a challenge for Jeff and I not to get sick, too. I did really well last year avoiding their germs so hopefully will fare as well this holiday season. Here's a photo of our tree:
Here's a close up of the ribbon that Mr. Jeffrey so tastefully adds:
We have a couple of warm days ahead- in the 80's- so Jeff will hang up the outdoor lights while the weather is nice. By Wednesday, the temps are dropping into the 60's so it will start to feel a little more Christmassy. Even though it's warm, I still made a Southwest Turkey Chili with some of our leftovers. That'll be nice to have later this week. Happy December!

Happy Monday Darylynn;
ReplyDeleteYou always decorate so beautifully. I love your tree. I'll be putting up mine tomorrow. Living in a small apartment, my tree is only 3 feet high. LOL! Should take me all of a half hour. LOL! Have a great beginning of the week and stay well. Hugs
Happy December Darylynn, Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Your menu sounded delicious. Poor babies hope they are feeling better soon and you don't get sick from them either. Your tree is beautiful as usual! of course I have the same tree :) I am not putting mine up since Layla is a terror and I know she would be in it. Christmas is at the kids anyway. Have a wonderful WARM Monday. Hugs, Dru
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday, Darylynn! Your tree, as always is so beautiful. I could just admire it for days. :) Love that pillow! I would buy every single thing from Pottery Barn if I could. lol Hope you have a fantastic day and enjoy your shopping! Hugs.
ReplyDeletehope The Boys are back to good health soon.
ReplyDeleteLove the tree. Very pretty.
Seems that the UK shops are cottoning on to the money maker that is Black Friday. For the first time EVER I had a ton of emails boasting of 'Black Friday' offers. Strange really, I'm sure most people had no idea what it was about. Perhaps if we had Thanksgiving too it might make more sense!
Anyway. I didn't shop on Friday. I did on Saturday, but that's nothing to do with BF!
Have a corking start to the week.
x
p.s do you ever hear from Denise these days? Or Karol (of home sweet homepage graphics). I've tried so many times to contact Karol, but have admitted defeat. I know Denise was busy with her move and home schooling, but I didn't know if you spoke with her via FB.

As usual, an outstanding job at putting the tree up ! Well done !
ReplyDeleteI really wonder when this will be done, this year, for us. Sigh.
xoxo
As usual, your tree is gorgeous and love Jeff's ribbon. Don't let those little ones make you sick! LOL Hugz!
ReplyDeleteNo luck here with Cyber Monday deals either. I don't blame you one bit for not going shopping on Thanksgiving or Black Friday... I feel the same way! Your Christmas tree looks so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteHi Darylynn, love your tree. The kids have all been sick and then I got sick and then Jr. I am still decorating and my son Daniel has taken on the front. I will post pics in a few days. I am looking forward to the colder weather. I would like your recipe for turkey chili. Have a great week. Hugs
ReplyDeleteHi Darylynn, good job on the tree. I was doing the same thing on the 1st. Seems like the time is short with Thanksgiving being later this year. I am still doing finishing touches and will probably do that through the season. I bought a couple of gifts on the internet Monday morning. Have a good way!
ReplyDeleteThe woody is wonderful! I certainly got a kick out of the name Hobie Cat. Surfing USA is alive and well on both coasts.
ReplyDeleteThe tree looks beautiful and I like the idea of the ribbons.
Can we have your Turkey Chili recipe? I am so in the mood for chili lately.
Hugs
