Christmas Miracle
Just kidding... not really a miracle but a long time coming! Justin and Sarah are engaged! Saturday night at our family Christmas party, in front of all our loved ones, Justin proposed to Sarah and she said yes! Justin had told us a few days earlier so it wasn't a surprise for Jeff and I but we kept it quiet not even telling Jessica. Sarah's parents were at the party and they knew, too, as Justin had gone to their home the day before to ask for their blessing. Everyone was very moved by Justin's proposal and cousin Matthew had the presence of mind to pull out his cellphone and begin recording a video once he realized where it was going. He says he will try and get the video to me so when I get it, I'll post it if it's okay with Justin and Sarah. They just had their 2 year first date anniversary this past week so I think this is good timing for them... long enough to know each other well but not too long to wear out Sarah's patience. Here's a photo of them taken a little after the proposal. You can spot the ring on Sarah's finger... it needs to be resized as he did all the shopping on his own. I'll try to get a better photo of the ring when they are here Christmas Eve.

Great news! Congratulations to the happy couple.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Justin and Sarah. I am sure you and Jeff are excited. Any date set? I see grandbabies in the future, but I am sure they want to travel some more first. Daniel and Melinda are getting serious and she will be here Christmas morning. So we will see what the future holds. Tomorrow I am making gingerbread with the grands. Wish me good luck! Hugs
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Justin & Sarah!! I am so happy for them. Yes and 2 years is just right!! So exciting!! I am waiting for either one of my grandchildren to get married already to have Great Grand-babies ;) Can't wait to see video of the proposal. Hugs, Dru

ReplyDeleteoh how lovely! Congratulations to everyone. What a superb post. Ooh, I do love a good wedding! You must be so thrilled.
ReplyDeleteThank you for comment. Yes, Girly Girl is VERY excited! I think people are shocked at how loud and excited she is. Yesterday we visited my parents, girl was going berserk throwing herself around and being generally shouty. My mum said I was never like that at her age - normally she tells me Girl is exactly like me, but not with her loudless. I was a demure and quiet child .. ha ha ha ha. Just like I am now!
We'll be out and about today, having our trad. CE lunch out. Very pleased about that. Feels like I've done a lot of cooking lately.
Hope you can share the video, though I'll understand if J & S don't want to share it.
Congrats again. Such lovely news.
