And now Cooper is 3 years old and Jacob is 4. Seems like just last year when Jeff and I were picking up that cute little puppy at the Burbank Airport. Now Jacob is not as fond of the dogs as he's had a few times where they have bowled him over but he is in love with our cat, Kalani. He calls Kalani, "My Kalani-Kitty." It's hard to capture a kid and a kitty but this shows their bond even if it is a little blurry!
We are freezing cold here in SoCal. On Sunday, Jeff and I went with Chris and Liz to a local theater production of Spamalot. We are all big Monty Python fans and loved the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail on which this play is based. The play got a good write-up in our local newspaper and since the tickets were only $20.00 each, I thought we should take a chance on it. Everyone agreed it was $20.00 well-spent. I was surprised at the quality of the actors and it was full of fun and good laughs. Makes you wonder how many talented performers there are in little theaters everywhere that could be big stars if only they got the right break. Next year around the holidays, they are doing "Shrek, the Musical" and I may just take the boys if I think they are ready to sit for a couple of hours.

Hi Darylynn,
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. Both are such sweet picture of Jacob and Cooper and Kalani. Brrrrrrrr really cold. I decided to invest in a electric blanket and few weeks ago. It works perfect I don't even turn my heat in the kitties and I are really toasty at night sleeping now. That is great about the play. As you know we have season tickets for the Garry Marshal's Falcon Theater we have a play this Thurday which is a Troubies play the are a comedy theater group and usually do at least on play year at the Falcon. We always look forward to their play. Have a wonderful Monday. Hug, Dru
Hi Darylynn,
ReplyDeleteCold all around it seems. How dear Jacob looks with Kalani. My littlest granddaughter also is in love with my cat Garfield more than with dogs.
We have the Paper Mill Playhouse here which is pretty famous. I saw Andy Griffith there, Rosalind Russell and William Shatner along with many other famous actors in some great plays there. My father used to advertise for them and we got free orchestra seating, woo hoo! It is a beautiful theater and a wonderful night out.
Was noticing how big Cooper's feet were even as a puppy.
Keep warm!
Hugs
Yikes! Wish I could send you and my family some our heat! Love the pictures. The kitty one is precious but then the puppy one is too! I love Little Theatre and support our local group. Glad you enjoyed the show. Hugz!
ReplyDeleteHi Darylynn! Happy Monday to you! Love love love the photos. Cooper and Jacob sure were cute babies. :) The photo of Jacob and Kalani is just too precious for words. I think most of the states are blanketed with cold, at least it sure does seem that way. Glad you enjoyed the play! I wish we had the culture that you have here. Hope you have a lovely evening and week ahead! Hugs
ReplyDeleteThey really are a cute pair of pals :) Glad you enjoyed Spamalot, I remember Holly seeing it in the West End and saying how fab it was. Just looked up your temps and you're a degree cooler than us which surprised me, hope it warms up soon. Xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Darylynn, I can't get over how quickly the time is passing. That is a cute picture of Jacob with his Kalani. The grands have been "playing" cat and dogs, barking and meowing and moving on all fours. Love the imagination. I still miss my Reina and put her Christmas picture up to show the grands. Keep warm. Hugs
ReplyDeletesweet photos. Time certainly flies by.

I love these photos and one can really see the bond between Kalani and him. So cute! Hugs
ReplyDeleteI remember when you first got Cooper. I got Mandy soon after and you gave me some very useful pointers. Such a cute pic of Cooper and Jacob!
ReplyDeleteI've been reading about your cold temps. We're cooler today which is a nice relief from the 80's and high 70's we've been having. Have a great day. Hugs
Oh yes, we remember that super cute photo of Cooper and Jacob. :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable shot of Jacob and Kalani too.
Have a lovely rest of the week.
Hi Darylynn!
ReplyDeleteJust passing by to wish you a great Friday and a lovely weekend.
