This is Ryan's last week of summer school so we are trying to find things for him to do since Jacob's camp is still ongoing every MWF until August 16th. Although Jacob's camp is for 3 to 5 year olds, most of them are 3 or 4 so Ryan would feel out of place there. Right next to the camp (which is below our house) there's a church and they are having a one week Vacation Bible School that starts next week and it runs the same time as Jacob's camp- 9 to noon- so Jessica signed Ryan up for that. And it's free! They only ask for a $5.00 donation. We'll be on the lookout for other summer activities for Ryan. I think 2013 is going to go down for me as a lost year! Certainly the 1st 6 months were a literal pain and now I have a long hot summer with "my new best friend" and after the 6 weeks of wearing the back brace, I will have 6 to 8 weeks of physical therapy. I will at least be happy to get to the physical therapy stage because I hate not being able to exercise and be active like I'm used to.

Hi Darylynn! I saw that Jessica posted that on FB the other day and I had to laugh at it. It was very cute and very true if you look at their hair. :) I hope that you can find some things to do with Ryan for the remainder of the summer. That's great about the VBS - I am sure he will have a good time. Sorry to hear that your year hasn't been the greatest. Have a great day! Hugs
ReplyDeletesuperb observational skills!
ReplyDeleteglad you are do so well after the op. x
Hi Darylynn,
ReplyDeleteLOL I love that wiggly and sharp ;) Adorable picture of the 2 boys. The 6 weeks will go by fast but so sorry you had to endure that pain for so long but you did the right thing! No reason to jump into surgery so fast. Feel better! And heal fast!
Hugs, Dru
Haha... wiggly and sharp is too cute. That's great news about vacation bible school. Good luck with physical therapy. Although I hated going to therapy multiple days a week, it did help a lot.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute comment - children do make the most original observations :)
ReplyDeleteHi Darylynn! Passing by to say hello and check up on you. So glad to read that your surgery went well and you're doing well! LoL @ Wiggly and sharp. Kids are beyond cute. Hope you enjoy your week. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHi Darylynn,
ReplyDeleteMy best friend sends regards to yours, though I am now able to go without it if I like.
I love the wiggly/sharp. Yup, they say the cutest things.
Hugs
New post is up but I see Dru has a new one and I can't see that either! Something must be wrong in Blogger.
ReplyDeleteGarfield is holding his own. On thyroid meds (over active) and now he will eat Sheba cat food so hoping this will return some of his weight to him. He is skin and bone but happy and doing well for a very old man.
Hi Darylynn, the boys are so cute! Eddie and Jazzy loved VBS and are still singing and dancing. Eddie starts Kinder next month and his last group of site words were in grade 2. I am happy to hear you are getting better and you are posting again! Hugs
ReplyDeleteHi Darylynn I was going to ask who your new best friend is but I get it. sorry I am glad to hear you are doing better. I have had a few lost years, I remember them well. I would prefer to remember better years and some of those are fuzzy. HUgs
